Tamera (Tami) Pearson is a professor and the director of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Western Carolina School of Nursing. She has 20 years of involvements in nursing education, teaching undergraduate and graduate level students both in the classroom and online. She has published more than 15 articles on clinical and education topics in reputable journals. Additionally, she brings many years of practical nursing experience and maintains clinical practice as a nurse practitioner in conjunction with her faculty role.

Joseph Tan(Biography)
Joseph Tan, PhD, formerly Wayne C Fox Chair of eBusiness Innovation, and currently, Professor of eHealth Informatics, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, is the founding and ongoing Editor-in-Chief, International Journal of Healthcare Information Systems & Informatics with a professional background that spans a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary research area. A lead investigator in redefining the frontiers of multidisciplinary Business and Health IT knowledge development, management and expansion, including active involvement in collaborative research and multidisciplinary joint-grant submissions, Dr. Tan has demonstrated skills and ability to serve in both academia and industry. He has achieved recognized scholarship in teaching and learning with students nominations for teaching excellence awards.

Dr. Armstrong has worked in the health care industry for over 2 decades and eleven years in nursing education. Her education background consists of San Antonio College Medical Assistant, Baptist School of Vocational Nursing, Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of the Incarnate Word, Master of Science in Nursing in Nursing Education from Drexel University 2013, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Chatham University 2014. She has received the National Institute of Staff & Organizational Development (NISOD) for Excellence Award in Teaching. She is also the recipient of the Friends of Texas Award 2013 from Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for her endless community service dedication and contributions.
