Dr. Talbert began her vocation in public health working to empower communities regarding the importance of preventative diseases, promoting healthy lifestyles, and working on health disparities initiatives. While serving in the community, Dr. Talbert began working in higher education. She has worked as an educator, academic mentor, researcher, consultant, and held multiple leadership positions. She established the Center for Professional Academic Consulting, LLC, which is dedicated to supporting institutions promote academic excellence. Dr. Talbert is currently the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Administration at Howard University in Washington, DC – United States. Dr. Talbert holds several nationally accredited degrees: a Master’s in Public Health (MPH); a Master’s of Science (MS) in Higher Education Administration with emphasis on Accreditation; and a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Health specialization in Community Health Promotion and Education. She serves on numerous boards, advisory committees, and resides on the Governing Council for the American Public Health Association. She is certified as a Health Education Specialist, Public Health Administrator, Wellness Practitioner, and Public Health Nutritionist. Dr. Talbert has published and presented at events throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, where she also taught an interdisciplinary nursing and public health course

She graduated in first place from Hacettepe University in 1989. She won the İhsan Dogramacı Superior Merit Award and Science Incentive Award. She earned her pilot’s license from Republic of Turkey Ministry of Transport. She studied about counseling on assisted reproductive techniques at Liverpool Women’s Hospital Reproductive Medicine Unit in United Kingdom on the British Council Research Scholarship. She earned a certificate in management and leadership in nursing. She is an active member of Thematic Network leadership workgroup. She studied as a research scholar at Kent State University College of Nursing in 2006 for 3 months. In 2007, she worked on a project named “Development of Leadership Skills in Nursing Doctoral Students†at University of Michigan Faculty of Nursing on an international research scholarship which was supported by International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing (INDEN) and Sigma Theta Tau and provided to only three people around the world every year. She worked as a research assistant at Hacettepe University School of Nursing in the Maternity and Women's Health Nursing Division from 1990 to 1997. She was promoted to assistant professor in 1998, associate professor in 2006 and professor in 2012. She worked as a Co- Head of Nursing Department, Erasmus Department Coordinator, Head of Strategic Planning Group and board member of Hacettepe University Women’s Research and Implementation Center (HUWRICH) between 2009 and 2011. Her interest subjects are sexuality and reproductive health and management and leadership. She is member of national and international nurse’s organizations such as INDEN and Sigma Theta Tau. She has been working as a Director of Nursing Services at Hacettepe University Hospitals between 2012-2016 and Founding Dean of Faculty of Nursing. She has published more than 70 papers, 15 grant projects, eight books as an editor and author, and more than 120 presentation in the national and international congress. She is also invited speaker more than 60 congress and symposium. She has worked as a Founder Dean Faculty of Health Science and Director of Nursing of MLPCare in Istinye University. Prof. Kolitha Harischandra Sellahewa MBBS.MD.FCCP.FRACP (Hon.) retired from public service as Consultant Physician National Hospital Sri Lanka in 2008. He Is currently the chair professor of medicine SAITM. Developed strategy to improve dengue case management and prevent deaths. Contributed to National Guidelines on Management of dengue and snakebite. Dissipated this knowledge conducting workshops, seminars and Lectures Island wide and in Singapore and Malaysia. Passionate teacher with strong clinical research sense. Pioneering research on using fresh frozen plasma for snakebite and dengue. Passionate about the need to transform nursing education and professional practice with a global perspective, she spearheaded integration of global health in the curriculum, using critical pedagogy to graduate nurses as global citizens at Bloomberg Nursing, University of Toronto .She spearheaded the development of U of T Nursing courses that examine global health issues including Critical Perspectives in Global Health Nursing that offers student placements in resource constrained communities in India. School of Nursing for four years. Subsequently when the Mother Theresa institute was formed, I joined the institute on deputation. After my master degree ,Acknowledging my good works I was absorbed as Lecturer in Nursing/ Principal nursing officer in the year 2007. Connie Kartoz, Ph.D., RN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner and assistant professor at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, New Jersey, USA. She teaches concepts of family assessment to graduate nursing students using the Calgary Family Assessment and Intervention Models . She also develops and implements simulation scenarios at both graduate and undergraduate levels that include family members. Her research focuses on the experiences of non-caregiving adult children with aging parents.
